A couple of times a year, I am in Berlin: Smelling the Berlin Art ‘Szene’. In April I was on a walk from Brandenburger Tor to an appointment with an chinese bridgebuilder Art Company. Unfortunately the office was closed. Thou I went back to meet my fellows.
In a narrow urban road (Auguststrasse), I saw a crowd waiting in front of a van, printing big photos in black-white. OK, let’s have a try. The “sinic” time slot is open again for new experiences.
Waiting, talking and listening to the other people. Observing the crowd and taking part in their expectations. English, French, Italian, Turk, lower German, “Berlinian”, a funny mix. But as all times, one ‘Lady’ was needling our nerves: To slow, to hot, to.. – hell, what ever. A real liberation when she gave up waiting, in the row direct behind me.
Along the Walls of the narrow pedestrian walkway the Orga-Team fixed print after print, like an open-air exhibition. And truly this was one.

Colleague JR from France had his Inside Out ‘happening’ on Berlins Road in Coop with the Frida Burda Salon Berlin Museum (G9GV+HQ Berlin).

Today I am arriving in Berlin again. What will it be this time, surprising me? Do we meet? It was a pleasure, being part of JR’s Insideout Happening. However, it was fluke ‘n fun.
But is fortuitousness really real? 😉
